We had family birthdays today 

So Meagan ( sister in law, not sister Megan) and Cath ( partner of Rods sister Cath) 

Happy Birthday!!

Ps - We also have 2 Joshuas - Meagans son ( birthday Megan) and mine.  I had Joshua before I met Rod, and Meagan had already had Joshua. 

PPs because similar names are not enough for this family - we also all have birthdays on top of each other

PPPs - I so totally chose that cider because of the label.  I wanted to try a different brand to what I normally drink, and my husband knowing my style pointed this out. 

A totally reasonable way to choose your drinks....

PPPPs - that brand was a bit to "beery" for my tastes.

If I look to the door, I have another 2 creepy guys in cowboy hats as well. Life in my house is never dull, where else can you get held up just for opening your fridge door??!?

Equals long weekends and ( finally) the end of the longest season in the year - Football season. I can even forgive the start of daylight savings if it means a break from football for a while. Is it mean that I used to feel very relieved when his gig clashed with his team playing?

Hey Im a good wife in other ways - I kept the beers coming when he was building our new balustrade today and I made caramel popcorn ( hot digity damn I AM a good wife,

What? What do you mean you bet the caramel popcorn was for my sweet tooth?!? - just craziness. ( please dont tell him!)).

Ps - I will admit to enjoying the grand final ( even though i badly wanted to sit at my desk above for some quiet mumma time) - Thanks to a few drinks and glimpses of Daniel Conn

Im back from the dead, and actually able to sit up for more then a few seconds at a time!!! I swear it must have been a man flu — cause I was a DYING!!!!! and really anything less then that I have no idea what they are sooking about, just get up and build a ridge already husbands of the world!!!

Anyway - even though it's not the best view — my backyard when its filled with sweet lil munchkins I love it anyway. And it was filled with even more munchkins later on when Beth's kids joined the fun!

Ps ive missed all the fun the last 2 weeks, whats the goss???????? There has to be an internet drama somewhere. Hmmm maybe I should check 2 peas or essential baby.............

PPs if you are wondering ( like I was) why the heck the stripes in the grass??? Well, there really is no decent answer from the rockgod for their existence!

PPPs - Man Flu is really great for catching up on old episodes of mediums and having nanna naps though!!!

Best Sunday ever, sleep in, sunday drive, newspaper, nanna nap, old episodes of press gang, scrapping, a redo on my wooden bowl finds, blocks and cars.

Cadbury Creme Egg bar - Twisted.

I think Im in love. I think my husband should be scared.

Is it wrong to be in love with a chocolate bar, and if it is do I care. I practically danced a happy dance right in the middle of woolies!!!!

This is right up there with the jelly belly flops!!!!

Today was a beautiful nothing much Sunday.

A bit of groceries for the week, hot chips for lunch, playing with the dog, watching an impromptu game of football breakout, Shawshank Redemption, finishing touches on a layout, Scrabble with the boys, hot chocolate and the paper.

Just perfect.

No expectations, no comitments - just my boys and I.

I missed Scrap Tuesday last week, but I didnt miss Market Wednesday ( Though we all missed Lace Guy - come back Lace Guy!!) - followed by oppies and I made it to a couple on Thurs as well!

Ps - This week we are aiming for Vinatge in the lower mountains I think. Beth has super Google Powers!

PPS - Lace Guy - definition - Guy at Penrith Markets, who sells Lace - lots of it and cheap! Though he has not been there last 2 weeks. Normally next to the scrapbooking stall.

PPPS I admit it my taste in telly is pure trash, but life is too short for non trashy telly!! hmm I guess it should be the other way around.... Nah.

With just a hint of Saturday. 

These buttons, oh my stars these buttons. We chanced upon a tiny market at the local pcyc yesterday and everyone of us found some goodness. Aside from the heavenly produce we brought, my treasure was these buttons. She had a whole box full of mixed goodness and I was so well behaved!!! There was no way I could pass up these glass buttons though, oh and the orange, and those dainty lil pearl, oh and those lil starry flower ones.. Oh my word.  But ill be back next month, Hmm, wonder how much for the whole huge box??

And why the heck not, Just a hint of whats making the Rockgod and I smile this week.

Bath Crayons. 

We have taken to leaving messages for each other on the shower walls. I believe the one he has waiting for him tomorrow morning says something to this effect,  

" I still love you even though you are so so not funny, but please never ever ever make up shortcuts again"

It's a fun way of making him smile at 4 am in the morning. A lil nonsense always starts the day right.

really late Slice of Sunday

Turns out staying up late for 2 nights, scrapping, and laughing and gossiping is incredibly exhausting!!! All my fabulosity drained out of me, so a early bedtime last night was called for.  Update and an actual real post ( I know these days they are few and far between!)  to come!!! 

ps - thats our poor Daph in her incredibly sexy collar going down the stairs.

Happy Mother's day to all the special Mums/Moms I know.  Hope you are all as blessed as I am.

And to my own Mother who I get to see next week. Have a safe flight, we cant wait to see you. We miss you lots!

And also to Bec, who I happily share this mothers day with. I couldn't have wished for a more wonderful person to share my sons life with. Thank you for making sure there are no evil stepmothers in Joshua's fairy tale.

My beautiful middle made me some special presents in School this week (he was the only one in the whole house well enough to go anywhere this week! )

My darling laminated picture. Which since Friday afternoon he has been telling me, you cant open till "mubers day" 

And he decorated this delightful little pot plant — which was replanted once by his brother sitting next to him in the car on the way home from school Friday, and once by the Dog shortly after the picture was taken!

That is My darling Big and myself shortly after my very first mothers day. 

How do I know it was shortly after Mother's day? 

Because my very First mothers day started in labour, and I was given the best gift in the world. I was 20,( by 8 days) when I had him, and so we have really grown up together.  A wonderful, amazing present, to have had in my life.

(even if he is now to old to smile for photos)

Josh, Happy birthday. I love you so much and I can already see the amazing man you will be. But, please slow down a little. Time is moving so fast and each time I turn around you grow even more. 

You are adored, always and forever.

PS I currently sound like a teenage boy whose voice is changing and has spent all night screaming at rock concert. It's a good sound for me........... not.

PPS how come I never get sexy Husky, just snotty husky??? I want a sexy voice
