I might just heart swaps

I must admit im more surprised then anyone.

But wait for it ................... Facebook has opened up my swapping world!

I know and I resisted joining for ages.

Im on a sewing page called sew from your stash ( aussie based) and they have a fairy godmother swap.
I.e. someone posts three things they would like — you say sure. Heck I can I can do that and then you list three things you would like while making theirs and sending it off.

I have been the luckiest recipient out of that swap ...… EVER

first Lara received a fabric dolls bed — complete with embroidered pillow and blanket

And I was in desperate need for a crochet roll, not only did I get one in one of my favourite colour combos but wait for it......… FILLED!!!!!

My latest swap was through the yarnbusters page on facebook ( seems to be predominantly US and Aussies).  A lovely lady had mentioned that she had been to a large US craft store to try and get a wooden hook to try — well I now had a spare in the size she needed, so a size 5-mm, in a sweet koala pouch with some lil bear scissors and some furry friends chocolates made their way over there and what I thought was going to be a couple o kool aid pouches made their way over to me.

Instead I received a BOUNTY of kool aid — in so many colours/flavours, in the sweetest little crochet purse ever. I cant wait to start dyeing some yarn with them ( all while keeping it away from the boys ho want to drink them!)

Between the swaps, postcrossing, and my creative penpal swap, my letterbox has officially been named most fun destination in NSW ( even if I am waiting for the electricity bill — anyone want to swap for that)?

Mysterious goings on.

What Im loving about school holidays
  • Long walks to the library with the boys, feeling the winter sun warm our backs.
  • Stopping for Hot Chocolate breaks.
  • Sleeping in till 9, snuggled up to the kook.
  • Snuggling on the couch watching DVDs ( We just watched Tin Man last night, just wonderful).
  • Lego towns popping up all over my house.
  • Crafting with my sweet middle, he crafts, I scrap.
  • Taking bad photos of said layouts....... ( with help from lil guys who want to pay with mummas camera)
Layout for the Dollies elements challenge. Well, it wasn't at first it was a few papers I was playing around with, when I had a surf for inspiration, and saw the challenge, to take inspiration from a song ( post 1990).  And then it just sort of came together. Since I already had that song in my head anyway.

The light blue letters are flocked. Have I mentioned just how much Im in love with anything flocked? No?? Well, I am. Add some bookmarks, from notebook magazine, some scrap Tulle, and some of my own flowers.

This morning a big ol pizza box, chock full of goodies box arrived on my doorstep. With no card attached.........…

And I was afraid to touch it incase it was a big mistake, but Ive just got an email from Sarah ( nope not myself) but fabulous blogger Sarah, and it's a prize from a RAK I won at her blog

Whats making me Happy

Thank you to my wonderful friend Karla!!
I love everything about him ( I know its a boy cause he is a Brother (210c model), plus Im getting a sort of Alfred vibe from him). I love his shiny black keys, His Ding when Ive hit the end of the row, and last but not least his clicky clack key hitting sounds.

And everything I write has that authentic typewritter look.

He just makes me happy.

Ps For those sick of hearing me talk how much they would work with everything(!), I also finally brought my self some delicious yellow ( Im having a thing for yellow of late) Rainboots Thickers, except now Im afraid to use them up!
PPS I just realised if you look very closely at the typing Ive written leave the 80's alone.
PPPS I dont mean it, please someone come and take all the 80s clothes back to wear they came from!
PPPPS remember Hypercolour clothes????

Thank You So Much Teresa .
What am I sending her..........

Well that was a hint ( for those not in the know, those sharp pointy bits are used for needle felting, and giving your self RSI!)

Envelope fun

Whilst I am getting some of my lil metal signs ready to ship out for those of you that are waiting for them, thought I would share my favourite envelope material.  These ones are slightly puffy and not sitting quite as nicely as I would like because of a layer of bubble wrap I have added to the inside ( to protect from sharp lil corners). Just need to make my self up some nice labels now and ill be laughing ( I'll add it to my very long "I want to do list").

Ps I still have at least three more I can giveaway.  Email me ( button on the side)!
