I just knew I didn't feel right about it. A lot happier now.
Ahhh antique music paper, is there anything you cant fix?!?

PPPS - Ok so they seem simple, but Yes I suck at rolled roses — no Im not entirely sure how its possible either.

Oh, yes...that makes a big difference! LOVE it! I just found a bunch of old music in the piano bench I inherited from my Grandpa. Yep, some of its going to the scrap table!

And rolled roses... my first attempts were abysmal. If you're not happy, persevere. I found my smaller ones always look better than my big ones. And they look better when the starting-off-spiral is different widths (don't space the lines evenly). Ummm, and a bit of squishing and distressing helps make *everything* look better, LOL! Another thing you can try is cut the spiral using wavy-edge scissors. Or just practise. Ha ha... (says the expert in rolled roses - NOT!)
