Sleeping beauty

I woke up and it was friday today - big damn deal you say? Well, yeah, thats what follows Thursday??

 

Not for me. This time anyway.

When I went to bed it was Tuesday afternoon. 

I played the game.

 And I lost, big time.

I was terrified of playing the game. I was terrified of having my healed perforated esophagus open up again. No more hospital!! Thankfully it stayed shut. And Today I feel like my normal self again ( sorry to those close to me......)!

So I celebrated being well, Scraploot. 50% off a lot of things. The best way to celebrate ( esp. When that morning a package had arrived from Little Scrapbook Shop!, and I was finally well enough to open my What is Old is New Again  June Vintage kit that had arrived on Wed ( where do you guys shop online??)).

So anyway a million years ago when I last posted I said I would up date what Ive been up to, so here are a few layouts that Ive been working on, some from quiet a bit ago ( retreat and beyond).

Ill be back with my catch up on my Boot Camp tomorrow, tonight, I, the band widow that I am, have a date with some little boys for Sandlot Marathon. Ill catch up on my blog reading tomorrow night ( nrl season....).   

Ps See those alphas up the top? The Heidi Grace ones?? Im on the search for more. And so far its fruitless. They are my go to, In fact I have used them a couple of times on the stuff above. They alter wonderfully well.

PPPs I understand that these are not my best photos of layouts, But at this stage a badly photoed layout is better then no layout at all.

PPPPS I know photoed is not a word, to bloomin lazy to write photographed.

PPPPPs what I didn't write about going to bed Tuesday is that I couldn't do it right away on Tuesday afternoon cause, well, I was a loser again.  And when I got in the Car with the girls today for scraploot, Well, I might just, maybe have been a loser again.

Its back......

School is back in so Scrap Tuesday is now reinstated!! And I actually got things done!!!

 A piece of my guest DT work for Design Dollies, my C page for Friday, and a layout, All while chatting, laughing figuring out what naughty kids were up to, and holding cranky babies.

Ill show you the layout and the rest has to wait a lil.....

I did the love on this paper a million years ago and was just waiting and waiting for the right time to use it! 

Oh and the baby isn't Kook! Go ahead take another look - yep, Im figuring out which baby is by birth mark or lack of!! My sweet middle was a staypuft marshmellow baby so that helps give it away in this one! (He had rolls on his rolls and then they had rolls!)

Let it B, Let it B.......

So you all remember the challenge I set myself, (and any one who wants to join in) right?

This is my letter B. 

Bad as in Bad mother ( and not the mo' fo' type, Im really a sweetie, really I am!). 

 A bit of free hand paper cutting because I quiet enjoyed it the first time ( though Less fibrous paper and a new scalpel from next time!)

I enjoyed feting messy, and using poor mans flocking( threw that about like it was confetti!),

I must admit Im enjoying allowing myself not to try and be a perfectionist and having no rules, with most importantly no shame in my own work.

Ok, Im off holiday mode and back on the horse!

 I wanted to start with a goal of mine this year.

I was having a search around, for year long challenges ( Thanks Teresa for putting the idea in my head!!) and seeing what was out there last week, before I went to bed.

Now I dont fall asleep easy at the best of times, and my head was having a think, when I realised - there are 26 fortnights in the year right ( I hope, let me go check... ok Im good) and there are 26 letters in the alphabet!! Coincidence - yeah, probably, but Im running with it any way! 

That sent my little mind a buzz. I had been wanting to try a more arty type journal challenge and so have set my self a goal, ( any any one who wants to join in!!).

Each fortnight, a letter, and a page about me having to do with that letter. 

I decided to destroy a readers digest book and use that as my base so got my stapler out and organised it into 26 rough sections and have stapled away. 

So with out further adieu

 Im using it as a try things, free flowing, trial and error, Anything goes journal. Might even learn a thing about my self and who I am behind the wife hood and motherhood, and all the other hoods I am.

I hoping to start showing these every second friday.
